The Business Background
Professionally speaking, I’m blessed to have a great deal of knowledge and background in business marketing, communications and interpersonal skill building. I’m also fortunate enough to recognize that my background and my passion continually cross paths, so here’s a little insight into both.
I’m a graduate of the Ohio State University (GO Buckeyes!) with a working background in marketing and business management. In early 2004, after more than 15 years in the corporate world, I embarked on the road to business ownership with my own firm, SS Marketing Solutions, a full service company offering assistance in marketing, branding, public relations and the hellaciously fun voice over product.
Never afraid of an audience, I enjoy training and public speaking for a variety of professional organizations and get regular invitations to speak at conferences, forums and private client workshops. In fact, I often joke around that I teach so many people to market businesses for themselves (DIY Business Growth & Marketing Series) that it’s a wonder I keep getting repeat business from my clientele!

I’ve had my share of business recognition with awards & accolades…Thank You Universe…including having been named one of South Jersey’s Top Business Women by South Jersey Magazine, an “Outstanding Woman of the Year” by the Advisory Council on Women, am a recipient of the 50 Best Women in Business Award and one of New Jersey’s Forty Under 40 according to NJ’s top business news publication, NJBIZ. Additionally (as if there’s any time left in a day!) I’m the the chapter President of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) South Jersey and am a member of the International Speakers Network.

Women can get a bad rep when being direct and self-confident with their messaging. In fact, it's often mistaken for being "bitchy".
